Welcome to Web Coding Adventureland, an all-new web course built just for kids.
Who designed it?
Hi, I’m Deborah!
I believe in the power of telling good stories. My aim with everything I create is to craft interesting and purposeful messages.
I’m a visual communication specialist with advanced skills in web design, graphic design, typography, copywriting, product design, and content creation.
I’m currently pursuing a degree in communication, with an emphasis in visual media, and modules in public relations and social media. I plan to graduate in Spring 2022 and pursue a career in design.
Why this course?
When I was nine years old, I wanted to learn how to build a website. So I got to work googling and practicing, teaching myself HTML and CSS. I made fan websites about all my favorite things – American Girl Dolls and Harry Potter and Hannah Montana – and dreamed of someday launching a real website.
15 years later, I’m living the dream. At 13, I launched a blog that became the top website in its’ niche, reaching 50k views and 1 million Pinterest re-pins a month. It grew into a thriving business that I still run today.
I’m entering the visual communication and web development fields with professional skills, ready to not only create great work, but to pay it forward. Web development has come a long way in 15 years. 15 years down the road who knows what incredible things the kids of today will be doing.
I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t explored the things I was curious about as a kid. That curiosity turned into a passion and a career that I am so excited to continue being curious about.
